My older brother Bird has had a huge impact on me as a musician.  He has encouraged me and taught me a lot about music.  I also had the privilege of playing in his band in the late 70's and recording with him on various projects since then.

Bird has had a long career in music going back to the 60's.  During the 70's he played in an Atlanta based band, "Kudzu", then went on to play bass for Frank Zappa.  After his tenure with Zappa he put together his own band with Frank Farr playing drums, Steve Rhodes on guitar, me on guitar / flute and himself on keyboards / bass.  Since then Bird has gone solo and operates the Bird's Nest Studio and Olive Branch Records in Conyers, Georgia.

Bird recorded the keyboard tracks on "Hymn Medley" and helped me master and produce my CD at his studio.  I really appreciate all that he has done for me over the years.  He is an awesome brother in every way, not just what we share in our music.

I also have another older brother, Ken.  Even though Ken is not on this CD, I have enjoyed making music with him through the years too.  Ken and I roomed together some in college.  He was working on his Masters when I started college.  Like Bird, he is also a great brother.
